GOTHIC CHOKER
Which Gothic Choker Should I Choose?
Everything starts with the color selection. Of all our available colors black, burgundy red, and purple are the most fitting for a goth outfit. Next, consider the hardware of your gothic choker. While we have silver, light gold, and black the most fitting colors are silver and black in my opinion. An underrated combination is purple leather with black hardware.
Now, choose the width of the collar. For a more subtle option go with a thinner strap and for a stand-out statement, I recommend you go with a thicker strap width.
Our designs usually differ by shape, what hardware we use, or what custom print we add to the leather. When it comes to hardware, you can choose a spiked choker or ones with with eyelets or O-rings. As for designs, take a look at them yourself. We have tried to incorporate gothic symbolism as per request by customers.
What is a Spiked Choker?
A spiked choker is a leather neck choker with special hardware attached. The hardware includes spikes that vary in shape and size. Rounded spikes are less intimidating because they are not sharp. Tiny spikes are pointy yet smaller and easier to wear. Large spikes are very long and create a dramatic look. Curved spikes are big, but their tips bend slightly to change the profile. Pattern spikes feature decorative details along the shaft before coming to a point. Many makers secure each spike with rivets to ensure durability and prevent loosening. This variety allows a spiked choker to match different personal styles.
What are Spiked Chokers Made Of?
The main strap is typically crafted from leather for durability. The metal used is designed to withstand regular wear and maintain its shine. Most people prefer silver spikes for a classic look. Some options feature black spikes to match dark outfits or themes. Leather remains the standard choice because it is strong and timeless. By combining sturdy materials, a spiked collar can last for years with proper care.
